Our Role

As a planner, you will be the key contact before works for the operational team. You will have full accountability for the planning & Streetworks aspects of all works before they commence on site. You will ensure that all operational teams are able to undertake their work in line with the received push plans and requested dates as well as compliant with NRSWA and ensure that timescales are adhered to minimising any financial impact to the company.

This role will be based within the United Utilities offices at Lingley Mere, Warrington

Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the workstreams, coordinating the work from receipt, through to job completion

You will schedule work orders in accordance with SLA’s, whilst optimising travel routes and increasing productivity

You take the lead on customer liaison; calling door to door, attending customer meet & greet events, producing updates via letters, leaflets, text messages etc.

You will Identify noticing issues and apply early intervention, to ensure that all information derived from inspections and other sources is correctly handled to ensure correct response from utilities and other promoters of Street Works activity and to minimise challenges to Section 74 invoices and FPNs

You will maintain timely and accurate input and uploading of information into the works management systems, ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated

You will ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner

You will provide daily and weekly reports as required and to ensure that all service levels and objectives are achieved

You will provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change

You will ensure that safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures

Our Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for resources associated with the repair and maintenance of the clean water network across specific network areas for our client.

You will supervise operational repair and maintenance support to resolve issues such as poor supplies, no water, leaks and water quality issues. Types of activities include repairing burst mains, leak repair, stop tap repairs, installation of equipment, investigations / tracing supplies. You will provide operational leadership – ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our client’s expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to the client.

Satisfaction of customers is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX. You will work closely with the client to influence a dramatic improvement in the C-MeX measure and show leadership skills to genuinely care about the ratings customers give of Network Plus’ services.

You will work with the scheduling team to ensure repair and maintenance work is delivered on time according to the schedule. You will be expected to communicate with customers who are impacted by our work, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to have operational supervisory responsibility for water repair and maintenance teams, and their daily activities

We are looking for someone to organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absence management

We are looking for someone to manage all other resources e.g. materials and plant

We are looking for someone to ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs and meter asset details

We are looking for someone to carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing repair and maintenance teams to reach their potential

We are looking for someone to complete Team Inspections ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focus on quality and right first-time operational delivery

We are looking for someone to carry out site visits and regular audits to monitor performance standards, check adherence with technical standards and resolve complaints and issues in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone to be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when they occur

Experience and Qualifications

Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word

Full UK Driving Licence

Health & Safety qualification an advantage (but not essential)

Relevant qualifications and authorisations

Experience of working in Utilities

Supervisor Street works qualification

Deep Excavation knowledge and experience

Good verbal communication skills

Good management skills

Financial and commercial awareness
